Quran chapter: Chapter 81: The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

When the sun is rolled.

إِذَا الشَّمسُ كُوِّرَت

izash shamsu kuwwirat

The stars are crashed into each other.

وَإِذَا النُّجومُ انكَدَرَت

wa izan nujoomun kadarat

The mountains are wiped out.

وَإِذَا الجِبالُ سُيِّرَت

wa izal jibaalu suyyirat

The reproduction is halted.

وَإِذَا العِشارُ عُطِّلَت

wa izal ‘ishaaru ‘uttilat

The beasts are summoned.

وَإِذَا الوُحوشُ حُشِرَت

wa izal wuhooshu hushirat

The oceans are set aflame.

وَإِذَا البِحارُ سُجِّرَت

wa izal bihaaru sujjirat

The souls are restored to their bodies.

وَإِذَا النُّفوسُ زُوِّجَت

wa izan nufoosu zuwwijat

The girl who was buried alive is asked:

وَإِذَا المَوءۥدَةُ سُئِلَت

wa izal maw’oodatu su’ilat

For what crime was she killed?

بِأَىِّ ذَنبٍ قُتِلَت

bi ayyi zambin qutilat

The records are made known.

وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَت

wa izas suhufu nushirat
