O you prophet, you shall reverence God and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. God is Omniscient, Most Wise.
يٰأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلا تُطِعِ الكٰفِرينَ وَالمُنٰفِقينَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ عَليمًا حَكيمًا
yaa aiyuhan Nabiyyut taqil laaha wa laa tuti’il kaafireena wal munaafiqeen; innal laaha kaana ‘aleeman Hakeemaa
Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. God is fully Cognizant of everything you all do.
وَاتَّبِع ما يوحىٰ إِلَيكَ مِن رَبِّكَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كانَ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرًا
wattabi’ maa yoohaaa ilaika mir Rabbik; innal laaha kaana bimaa ta’maloona Khabeera
And put your trust in God. God suffices as an advocate.
وَتَوَكَّل عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكيلًا
wa tawakkal ‘alal laah; wa kafaa billaahi Wakeelaa
(Devotion to God Is Indivisible)
God did not give any man two hearts in his chest. Nor did He turn your wives whom you estrange (according to your custom) into your mothers.* Nor did He turn your adopted children into genetic offspring. All these are mere utterances that you have invented. God speaks the truth, and He guides in the (right) path.
ما جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِن قَلبَينِ فى جَوفِهِ وَما جَعَلَ أَزوٰجَكُمُ الّٰـٔى تُظٰهِرونَ مِنهُنَّ أُمَّهٰتِكُم وَما جَعَلَ أَدعِياءَكُم أَبناءَكُم ذٰلِكُم قَولُكُم بِأَفوٰهِكُم وَاللَّهُ يَقولُ الحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَهدِى السَّبيلَ
maa ja’alal laahu lirajulim min qalbaini fee jawfih; wa maa ja’ala azwaajakumul laaa’ee tuzaahiroona minhunna ummahaatikum; wa maa ja’ala ad’iyaaa’akum abnaaa’akum; zaalikum qawlukum bi afwaa hikum wallaahu yaqoolul haqqa wa Huwa yahdis sabeel
*33:4 It was a custom in Arabia to estrange the wife by declaring that she was like the husband’s mother. Such an unfair practice is abrogated herein.
(Do Not Change Your Names)
You shall give your adopted children names that preserve their relationship to their genetic parents. This is more equitable in the sight of God. If you do not know their parents, then, as your brethren in religion, you shall treat them as members of your family. You do not commit a sin if you make a mistake in this respect; you are responsible for your purposeful intentions. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
ادعوهُم لِـٔابائِهِم هُوَ أَقسَطُ عِندَ اللَّهِ فَإِن لَم تَعلَموا ءاباءَهُم فَإِخوٰنُكُم فِى الدّينِ وَمَوٰليكُم وَلَيسَ عَلَيكُم جُناحٌ فيما أَخطَأتُم بِهِ وَلٰكِن ما تَعَمَّدَت قُلوبُكُم وَكانَ اللَّهُ غَفورًا رَحيمًا
ud’oohum li aabaaa’ihim huwa aqsatu ‘indal laah; fa illam ta’lamooo aabaaa’ahum fa ikhwaanukum fid deeni wa mawaaleekum; wa laisa ‘alaikum junaahun feemaaa akhtaatum bihee wa laakim maa ta’ammadat quloobukum; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa
The prophet is closer to the believers than they are to each other, and his wives are like mothers to them. The relatives ought to take care of one another in accordance with God’s scripture. Thus, the believers shall take care of their relatives who immigrate to them, provided they have taken care of their own families first. These are commandments of this scripture.
النَّبِىُّ أَولىٰ بِالمُؤمِنينَ مِن أَنفُسِهِم وَأَزوٰجُهُ أُمَّهٰتُهُم وَأُولُوا الأَرحامِ بَعضُهُم أَولىٰ بِبَعضٍ فى كِتٰبِ اللَّهِ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ وَالمُهٰجِرينَ إِلّا أَن تَفعَلوا إِلىٰ أَولِيائِكُم مَعروفًا كانَ ذٰلِكَ فِى الكِتٰبِ مَسطورًا
an-Nabiyyu awlaa bil mu’mineena min anfusihim wa azwaajuhoo ummahatuhum wa ulul arhaami ba’duhum awlaa biba’din fee Kitaabil laahi minal mu’meneena wal Muhaajireena illaaa an taf’alooo ilaaa awliyaaa’ikum ma’roofaa; kaana zaalika fil kitaabi mastooraa
(Muhammad Pledges to Support
God’s Messenger of the Covenant*)
Recall that we took from the prophets their covenant, including you (O Muhammad), Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary. We took from them a solemn pledge.*
وَإِذ أَخَذنا مِنَ النَّبِيّـۧنَ ميثٰقَهُم وَمِنكَ وَمِن نوحٍ وَإِبرٰهيمَ وَموسىٰ وَعيسَى ابنِ مَريَمَ وَأَخَذنا مِنهُم ميثٰقًا غَليظًا
wa iz akhaznaa minan Nabiyyeena meesaaqahum wa minka wa min Noohinw wa Ibraaheema wa Moosaa wa Eesab-ni-Maryama wa akhaznaa minhum meesaaqan ghaleezaa
*33:7 The covenant is detailed in 3:81. God took a covenant from the prophets that they shall support His Messenger of the Covenant who would come after Muhammad to purify and unify their messages. The Covenant was made before the earth’s creation, and was fulfilled in Mecca Zul-Hijja 3, 1391 (December 21, 1971). The sum of the Islamic month (12), plus the day (3), plus the year (1391) gives 1406, 19×74. Overwhelming proof identifying God’s Messenger of the Covenant as Rashad Khalifa is provided throughout the Quran (Appendices 2 & 26).
Subsequently, He will surely question the truthful about their truthfulness, and has prepared for the disbelievers (in this Quranic fact) a painful retribution.
لِيَسـَٔلَ الصّٰدِقينَ عَن صِدقِهِم وَأَعَدَّ لِلكٰفِرينَ عَذابًا أَليمًا
liyas’alas saadiqeena ‘an sidqihim; wa a’adda lilkaa fireena ‘azaaban aleemaa
(The Battle of the Parties)
O you who believe, remember God’s blessing upon you; when soldiers attacked you, we sent upon them violent wind and invisible soldiers. God is Seer of everything you do.
يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنُوا اذكُروا نِعمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيكُم إِذ جاءَتكُم جُنودٌ فَأَرسَلنا عَلَيهِم ريحًا وَجُنودًا لَم تَرَوها وَكانَ اللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ بَصيرًا
yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanuz kuroo ni’matal laahi ‘alaikum iz jaaa’atkum junoodun fa arsalnaa ‘alaihim reehanw wa junoodal lam tarawhaa; wa kaanal laahu bimaa ta’maloona Baseera
When they came from above you, and from beneath you, your eyes were terrified, your hearts ran out of patience, and you harbored unbefitting thoughts about God.
إِذ جاءوكُم مِن فَوقِكُم وَمِن أَسفَلَ مِنكُم وَإِذ زاغَتِ الأَبصٰرُ وَبَلَغَتِ القُلوبُ الحَناجِرَ وَتَظُنّونَ بِاللَّهِ الظُّنونا۠
iz jaaa’ookum min fawqikum wa min asfala minkum wa iz zaaghatil absaaru wa balaghatil quloobul hanaajira wa tazunnoona billaahiz zunoonaa
