(Moses)
Mention in the scripture Moses. He was devoted, and he was a messenger prophet.
وَاذكُر فِى الكِتٰبِ موسىٰ إِنَّهُ كانَ مُخلَصًا وَكانَ رَسولًا نَبِيًّا
wazkur fil Kitaabi Moosaaa; innahoo kaana mukhlasanw wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa
(Moses)
Mention in the scripture Moses. He was devoted, and he was a messenger prophet.
وَاذكُر فِى الكِتٰبِ موسىٰ إِنَّهُ كانَ مُخلَصًا وَكانَ رَسولًا نَبِيًّا
wazkur fil Kitaabi Moosaaa; innahoo kaana mukhlasanw wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa
We called him from the right side of Mount Sinai. We brought him close, to confer with him.
وَنٰدَينٰهُ مِن جانِبِ الطّورِ الأَيمَنِ وَقَرَّبنٰهُ نَجِيًّا
wa naadainaahu min jaanibit Tooril aimani wa qarrabnaahu najiyyaa
And we granted him, out of our mercy, his brother Aaron as a prophet.
وَوَهَبنا لَهُ مِن رَحمَتِنا أَخاهُ هٰرونَ نَبِيًّا
wa wahabnaa lahoo mir rahmatinaaa akhaahu Haaroona Nabiyyaa
And mention in the scripture Ismail. He was truthful when he made a promise, and he was a messenger prophet.
وَاذكُر فِى الكِتٰبِ إِسمٰعيلَ إِنَّهُ كانَ صادِقَ الوَعدِ وَكانَ رَسولًا نَبِيًّا
wazkur fil Kitaabi ismaa’eel; innahoo kaana saadiqal wa’di wa kaana Rasoolan Nabiyyaa
He used to enjoin his family to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and the obligatory charity (Zakat); he was acceptable to his Lord.
وَكانَ يَأمُرُ أَهلَهُ بِالصَّلوٰةِ وَالزَّكوٰةِ وَكانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرضِيًّا
wa kaana ya’muru ahlahoo bis Salaati waz zakaati wa kaana ‘inda Rabbihee mardiyyaa
And mention in the scripture Idris. He was a saint, a prophet.
وَاذكُر فِى الكِتٰبِ إِدريسَ إِنَّهُ كانَ صِدّيقًا نَبِيًّا
wazkur fil Kitaabi Idrees; innahoo kaana siddeeqan Nabiyyaa
We raised him to an honorable rank.
وَرَفَعنٰهُ مَكانًا عَلِيًّا
wa rafa’naahu makaanan ‘aliyyaa
These are some of the prophets whom God blessed. They were chosen from among the descendants of Adam, and the descendants of those whom we carried with Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom we guided and selected. When the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they fall prostrate, weeping.
أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ أَنعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِم مِنَ النَّبِيّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءادَمَ وَمِمَّن حَمَلنا مَعَ نوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبرٰهيمَ وَإِسرٰءيلَ وَمِمَّن هَدَينا وَاجتَبَينا إِذا تُتلىٰ عَلَيهِم ءايٰتُ الرَّحمٰنِ خَرّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّا
ulaaa’ikal lazeena an’amal laahu ‘alaihim minan Nabiyyeena min zurriyyati Aadama wa mimman hamalnaa ma’a Noohinw wa min zurriyyati Ibraaheema wa Israaa’eela wa mimman hadainaa wajta bainaaa; izaa tutlaa ‘alaihim Aayaatur Rahmaani kharroo sujjadanw wa bukiyyaa
(Losing the Contact Prayers (Salat))
After them, He substituted generations who lost the Contact Prayers (Salat), and pursued their lusts. They will suffer the consequences.
فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعدِهِم خَلفٌ أَضاعُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوٰتِ فَسَوفَ يَلقَونَ غَيًّا
fakhalafa min ba’dihim khalfun adaa’us Salaata wattaba’ush shahawaati fasawfa yalqawna ghaiyyaa
Only those who repent, believe, and lead a righteous life will enter Paradise, without the least injustice.
إِلّا مَن تابَ وَءامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَأُولٰئِكَ يَدخُلونَ الجَنَّةَ وَلا يُظلَمونَ شَيـًٔا
illaa man taaba wa aamana wa ‘amila saalihan fa ulaaa’ika yadkhuloonal jannata wa laa yuzlamoona shai’aa
