(Beware of Professional Religionists)
O you who believe, many religious leaders and preachers take the people’s money illicitly, and repel from the path of God. Those who hoard the gold and silver, and do not spend them in the cause of God, promise them a painful retribution.
يٰأَيُّهَا الَّذينَ ءامَنوا إِنَّ كَثيرًا مِنَ الأَحبارِ وَالرُّهبانِ لَيَأكُلونَ أَموٰلَ النّاسِ بِالبٰطِلِ وَيَصُدّونَ عَن سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذينَ يَكنِزونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالفِضَّةَ وَلا يُنفِقونَها فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرهُم بِعَذابٍ أَليمٍ
yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanooo inna kaseeramminal ahbaari warruhbaani la ya’kuloona amwaalan naasi bil baatili wa yasuddoona ‘an sabeelil laah; wallazeena yaknizoonaz zahaba wal fiddata wa laayunfiqoonahaa fee sabeelil laahi fabashshirhum bi’azaabin aleem
