Quran chapter: Chapter 86: The Bright Star (Al-Taareq)‎

By the sky that returns (the water).

وَالسَّماءِ ذاتِ الرَّجعِ

wassamaaa’i zaatir raj’

By the earth that cracks (to grow plants).

وَالأَرضِ ذاتِ الصَّدعِ

wal ardi zaatis sad’

This is a serious narration.

إِنَّهُ لَقَولٌ فَصلٌ

innahoo laqawlun fasl

Not to be taken lightly.

وَما هُوَ بِالهَزلِ

wa maa huwa bil hazl

They plot and scheme.

إِنَّهُم يَكيدونَ كَيدًا

innahum yakeedoona kaidaa

But so do I.

وَأَكيدُ كَيدًا

wa akeedu kaidaa

Just respite the disbelievers a short respite.

فَمَهِّلِ الكٰفِرينَ أَمهِلهُم رُوَيدًا

famahhilil kaafireena amhilhum ruwaidaa
