Noah said, “My Lord, they disobeyed me, and followed those who were even more corrupted when blessed with money and children.
قالَ نوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُم عَصَونى وَاتَّبَعوا مَن لَم يَزِدهُ مالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلّا خَسارًا
qaala Noohur Rabbi innahum ‘asawnee wattaba’oo mal lam yazid hu maaluhoo wa waladuhooo illaa khasaara
“They schemed terrible schemes.
وَمَكَروا مَكرًا كُبّارًا
wa makaroo makran kubbaaraa
“They said, `Do not abandon your gods. Do not abandon Wadd, Suwaa`, Yaghouth, Ya`ooq, and Nasr.’
وَقالوا لا تَذَرُنَّ ءالِهَتَكُم وَلا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلا سُواعًا وَلا يَغوثَ وَيَعوقَ وَنَسرًا
wa qaaloo laa tazarunna aalihatakum wa laa tazarunna Waddanw wa laa Suwaa’anw wa laa Yaghoosa wa Ya’ooqa wa Nasraa
“They misled many. Therefore, let the wicked plunge deeper into loss.”
وَقَد أَضَلّوا كَثيرًا وَلا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمينَ إِلّا ضَلٰلًا
wa qad adalloo kasee ranw wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa dalaalaa
Because of their sins they were drowned and assigned to the hellfire. They found no helpers to protect them from God.
مِمّا خَطيـٰٔتِهِم أُغرِقوا فَأُدخِلوا نارًا فَلَم يَجِدوا لَهُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَنصارًا
mimmaa khateee’ aatihim ughriqoo fa udkhiloo Naaran falam yajidoo lahum min doonil laahi ansaaraa
Noah also said, “My Lord, do not leave a single disbeliever on earth.
وَقالَ نوحٌ رَبِّ لا تَذَر عَلَى الأَرضِ مِنَ الكٰفِرينَ دَيّارًا
wa qaala Noohur Rabbi laa tazar ‘alal ardi minal kaafireena daiyaaraa
“For if you let them, they will only mislead your servants and give birth to nothing but wicked disbelievers.
إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرهُم يُضِلّوا عِبادَكَ وَلا يَلِدوا إِلّا فاجِرًا كَفّارًا
innaka in tazarhum yudil loo ‘ibaadaka wa laa yalidooo illaa faajiran kaffaaraa
“My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and anyone who enters my home as a believer, and all the believing men and women. But do not give the disbelievers anything but annihilation.”
رَبِّ اغفِر لى وَلِوٰلِدَىَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيتِىَ مُؤمِنًا وَلِلمُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِنٰتِ وَلا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمينَ إِلّا تَبارًا
rabbigh fir lee wa liwaa lidaiya wa liman dakhala baitiya mu’minanw wa lil mu’mineena wal mu’minaati wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa tabaaraa
