Those who are righteous, whenever the devil approaches them with an idea, they remember, whereupon they become seers.
إِنَّ الَّذينَ اتَّقَوا إِذا مَسَّهُم طٰئِفٌ مِنَ الشَّيطٰنِ تَذَكَّروا فَإِذا هُم مُبصِرونَ
innal lazeenat taqaw izaa massahum taaa’ifun minash Shaitaani tazakkaroo fa izaa hum mubsiroon
Their brethren ceaselessly entice them to go astray.
وَإِخوٰنُهُم يَمُدّونَهُم فِى الغَىِّ ثُمَّ لا يُقصِرونَ
wa ikhwaanuhum yamuddoonahum fil ghayyi thumma laa yuqsiroon
If you do not produce a miracle that they demand, they say, “Why not ask for it?” Say, “I simply follow what is revealed to me from my Lord.” These are enlightenments from your Lord, and guidance, and mercy for people who believe.
وَإِذا لَم تَأتِهِم بِـٔايَةٍ قالوا لَولَا اجتَبَيتَها قُل إِنَّما أَتَّبِعُ ما يوحىٰ إِلَىَّ مِن رَبّى هٰذا بَصائِرُ مِن رَبِّكُم وَهُدًى وَرَحمَةٌ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ
wa izaa lam ta’tihim bi aayatin qaaloo law lajtabai tahaa; qul innamaaa attabi’u maa yoohaaa ilaiya mir Rabbee; haazaa basaaa’iru mir Rabbikum wa hudanw wa rahmatul liqawminy yu’minoon
When the Quran is recited, you shall listen to it and take heed, that you may attain mercy.
وَإِذا قُرِئَ القُرءانُ فَاستَمِعوا لَهُ وَأَنصِتوا لَعَلَّكُم تُرحَمونَ
wa izaa quri’al Quraanu fastami’oo lahoo wa ansitoo la ‘allakum turhamoon
You shall remember your Lord within yourself, publicly, privately, and quietly, day and night; do not be unaware.*
وَاذكُر رَبَّكَ فى نَفسِكَ تَضَرُّعًا وَخيفَةً وَدونَ الجَهرِ مِنَ القَولِ بِالغُدُوِّ وَالـٔاصالِ وَلا تَكُن مِنَ الغٰفِلينَ
wazkur Rabbaka fee nafsika tadarru’anw wa kheefatanw wa doonal jahri minal qawli bilghuduwwi wal aasali wa laa takum minal ghaafileen
*7:205 Your god is whoever or whatever occupies your mind most of the day. This explains the fact that most of those who believe in God are destined for Hell (See 12:106, 23:84-90, and Appendix 27).
Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him.
إِنَّ الَّذينَ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لا يَستَكبِرونَ عَن عِبادَتِهِ وَيُسَبِّحونَهُ وَلَهُ يَسجُدونَ
innal lazeena ‘inda Rabbika laa yastakbiroona ‘an ‘ibaadatihee wa yusabbihoonahoo wa lahoo yasjudoon
