Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. To Him belongs all kingship, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Omnipotent.
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَما فِى الأَرضِ لَهُ المُلكُ وَلَهُ الحَمدُ وَهُوَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَىءٍ قَديرٌ
yusabbihu lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi lahul mulku wa lahul hamd, wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shai ‘in Qadeer
He is the One who created you, then among you there is the disbeliever, and the believer. God is fully Seer of everything you do.
هُوَ الَّذى خَلَقَكُم فَمِنكُم كافِرٌ وَمِنكُم مُؤمِنٌ وَاللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ بَصيرٌ
huwal lazee khalaqakum faminkum kaafirunw wa min kum mu’min ; wallaahu bimaa ta’maloona Baseer
He created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose,* designed you and perfected your design, then to Him is the final destiny.
خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ بِالحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُم فَأَحسَنَ صُوَرَكُم وَإِلَيهِ المَصيرُ
khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqqi wa sawwarakum fa ahsana suwarakum wa ilaihil maseer
*64:3 We are in this world due to God’s immense mercy. The Most Gracious has given us a chance to redeem ourselves. See the Introduction and Appendix 7.
He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows everything you conceal and everything you declare. God is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
يَعلَمُ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَيَعلَمُ ما تُسِرّونَ وَما تُعلِنونَ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ بِذاتِ الصُّدورِ
ya’lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa ya’lamu maa tusirroona wa maa tu’linoon; wallaahu ‘Aleemum bizaatis sudoor
Have you noted those who disbelieved in the past, then suffered the consequences of their decision? They incurred a painful retribution.
أَلَم يَأتِكُم نَبَؤُا۟ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن قَبلُ فَذاقوا وَبالَ أَمرِهِم وَلَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ
alam ya’tikum naba’ul lazeena kafaroo min qablu fazaaqoo wabaala amrihim wa lahum ‘azaabun aleem
This is because their messengers went to them with clear proofs, but they said, “Shall we follow humans like us?” They disbelieved and turned away. God does not need them; God is in no need, Praiseworthy.
ذٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُ كانَت تَأتيهِم رُسُلُهُم بِالبَيِّنٰتِ فَقالوا أَبَشَرٌ يَهدونَنا فَكَفَروا وَتَوَلَّوا وَاستَغنَى اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ غَنِىٌّ حَميدٌ
zaalika bi annahoo kaanat ta’teehim Rusuluhum bilbaiyinaati faqaaloo a basharuny yahdoonanaa fakafaroo wa tawallaw; wastaghnal laah; wallaahu ghaniyyun hameed
Those who disbelieved claim that they will not be resurrected! Yes indeed, by my Lord, you will be resurrected, and you will be held accountable for everything you have done. This is easy for God to do.
زَعَمَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا أَن لَن يُبعَثوا قُل بَلىٰ وَرَبّى لَتُبعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِما عَمِلتُم وَذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسيرٌ
za’amal lazeena kafarooo al-lany yub’asoo; qul balaa wa rabbee latub’asunna summa latunabba’unna bimaa ‘amiltum; wa zaalika ‘alal laahi yaseer
Therefore, you shall believe in God and His messenger, and the light that we have revealed herein. God is fully Cognizant of everything you do.
فَـٔامِنوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسولِهِ وَالنّورِ الَّذى أَنزَلنا وَاللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرٌ
fa-aaminoo billaahi wa rasoolihee wannooril lazeee anzalnaa; wallaahu bima ta’maloona khabeer
The day will come when He summons you to the Day of Summoning. That is the Day of Mutual Blaming. Anyone who believes in God and leads a righteous life, He will remit his sins, and will admit him into gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. This is the greatest triumph.
يَومَ يَجمَعُكُم لِيَومِ الجَمعِ ذٰلِكَ يَومُ التَّغابُنِ وَمَن يُؤمِن بِاللَّهِ وَيَعمَل صٰلِحًا يُكَفِّر عَنهُ سَيِّـٔاتِهِ وَيُدخِلهُ جَنّٰتٍ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهٰرُ خٰلِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ذٰلِكَ الفَوزُ العَظيمُ
yawma yajma’ukum li yawmil jam’i zaalika yawmut taghaabun; wa many-yumim billaahi wa ya’mal saalihany yukaffir ‘anhu sayyi aatihee wa yudkhilhu jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaaa abadaa; zaalikal fawzul ‘azeem
As for those who disbelieve and reject our revelations, they are the dwellers of the Hellfire; they abide therein forever. What a miserable destiny!
وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِنا أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ النّارِ خٰلِدينَ فيها وَبِئسَ المَصيرُ
wallazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi aayaaatinaaa ulaaa’ika ashaabun naari khaalideena feehaa wa bi’sal maseer
