Quran chapter: Chapter 41: Detailed (Fussilat)‎

They will say to their skins, “Why did you bear witness against us?” They will reply, “God made us speak up; He is the One who causes everything to speak. He is the One who created you the first time, and now you have been returned to Him.”

وَقالوا لِجُلودِهِم لِمَ شَهِدتُم عَلَينا قالوا أَنطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذى أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَىءٍ وَهُوَ خَلَقَكُم أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ

wa qaaloo lijuloodihim lima shahittum ‘alainaa qaaloo antaqanal laahul lazeee antaqa kulla shai’inw wa Huwa khalaqakum awwala marratinw wa ilaihi turja’oon

There is no way you can hide from your own hearing, your eyes, or your skins. In fact, you thought that God was unaware of much of what you do.

وَما كُنتُم تَستَتِرونَ أَن يَشهَدَ عَلَيكُم سَمعُكُم وَلا أَبصٰرُكُم وَلا جُلودُكُم وَلٰكِن ظَنَنتُم أَنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَعلَمُ كَثيرًا مِمّا تَعمَلونَ

wa maa kuntum tastatiroona ai-yashhada ‘alaikum sam’ukum wa laaa absaarukum wa laa juloodukum wa laakin zanantum annal laaha laa ya’lamu kaseeram mimmaa ta’maloon

This kind of thinking about your Lord will cause you to fall, and then you become losers.

وَذٰلِكُم ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذى ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُم أَردىٰكُم فَأَصبَحتُم مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ

wa zaalikum zannukumul lazee zanantum bi-Rabbikum ardaakum fa asbahtum minal khaasireen

If they continue the way they are, Hell will be their destiny, and if they make up excuses, they will not be excused.

فَإِن يَصبِروا فَالنّارُ مَثوًى لَهُم وَإِن يَستَعتِبوا فَما هُم مِنَ المُعتَبينَ

fa-iny yasbiroo fan Naaru maswal lahum wa iny-yasta’tiboo famaa hum minal mu’tabeen

(The Jinn Companions)

We assign to them companions who adorn everything they do in their eyes. Thus, they end up incurring the same fate as the previous communities of jinns and humans, who were also losers.

وَقَيَّضنا لَهُم قُرَناءَ فَزَيَّنوا لَهُم ما بَينَ أَيديهِم وَما خَلفَهُم وَحَقَّ عَلَيهِمُ القَولُ فى أُمَمٍ قَد خَلَت مِن قَبلِهِم مِنَ الجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ إِنَّهُم كانوا خٰسِرينَ

wa qaiyadnaa lahum quranaaa’a fazaiyanoo lahum maa baina aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa haqqa ‘alaihimul qawlu feee umamin  qad khalat min qablihim minal jinni wal insi innahum kaanoo khaasireen

Those who disbelieved said, “Do not listen to this Quran and distort it, that you may win.”

وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لا تَسمَعوا لِهٰذَا القُرءانِ وَالغَوا فيهِ لَعَلَّكُم تَغلِبونَ

wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo laa tasma’oo lihaazal Quraani walghaw feehi la’allakum taghliboon

We will certainly afflict these disbelievers with a severe retribution. We will certainly requite them for their evil works.

فَلَنُذيقَنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا عَذابًا شَديدًا وَلَنَجزِيَنَّهُم أَسوَأَ الَّذى كانوا يَعمَلونَ

falanuzeeqannal lazeena kafaroo ‘azaaban shadeedanw wa lanajziyannahum aswallazee kaanoo ya’maloon

Such is the requital that awaits God’s enemies. Hell will be their eternal abode; a just requital for discarding our revelations.

ذٰلِكَ جَزاءُ أَعداءِ اللَّهِ النّارُ لَهُم فيها دارُ الخُلدِ جَزاءً بِما كانوا بِـٔايٰتِنا يَجحَدونَ

zaalika jazaaa’u a’daaa’il laahin Naaru lahum feehaa daarul khuld, jazaaa’am bimaa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa yajhadoon

(On the Day of Judgment)

Those who disbelieved will say, “Our Lord, show us those among the two kinds – jinns and humans – who misled us, so we can trample them under our feet, and render them the lowliest.”

وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا رَبَّنا أَرِنَا الَّذَينِ أَضَلّانا مِنَ الجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ نَجعَلهُما تَحتَ أَقدامِنا لِيَكونا مِنَ الأَسفَلينَ

wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo Rabbanaaa arinal lazaini adal laanaa minal jinni wal insi naj’alhumaa tahta aqdaaminaa liyakoonaa minal asfaleen

(Perfect Happiness: Now and Forever)

Those who proclaim: “Our Lord is God,” then lead a righteous life, the angels descend upon them: “You shall have no fear, nor shall you grieve. Rejoice in the good news that Paradise has been reserved for you.

إِنَّ الَّذينَ قالوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ استَقٰموا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيهِمُ المَلٰئِكَةُ أَلّا تَخافوا وَلا تَحزَنوا وَأَبشِروا بِالجَنَّةِ الَّتى كُنتُم توعَدونَ

innal lazeena qaaloo Rabbunal laahu summas taqaamoo tatanazzalu ‘alaihimul malaaa ‘ikatu allaa takhaafoo wa laa tahzanoo wa abshiroo bil Jannnatil latee kuntum too’adoon
