Quran chapter: Chapter 35: Initiator (Faater)

(God is in Full Control)

God created you from dust, then from a tiny drop, then He causes you to reproduce through your spouses. No female becomes pregnant, nor gives birth, without His knowledge. No one survives for a long life, and no one’s life is snapped short, except in accordance with a pre-existing record. This is easy for God.

وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُم مِن تُرابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُطفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُم أَزوٰجًا وَما تَحمِلُ مِن أُنثىٰ وَلا تَضَعُ إِلّا بِعِلمِهِ وَما يُعَمَّرُ مِن مُعَمَّرٍ وَلا يُنقَصُ مِن عُمُرِهِ إِلّا فى كِتٰبٍ إِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسيرٌ

wallaahu khalaqakum min turaabin summa min nutfatin summa ja’alakum azwaajaa; wa maa tahmilu min unsaa wa laa tada’u illaa bi’ilmih; wa maa yu’ammaru mim mu’ammarinw wa laa yunqasu min ‘umuriheee illaa fee kitaab; inna zaalika ‘alal laahi yaseer

(Appreciating God’s Greatness*)

35:12The two seas are not the same; one is fresh and delicious, while the other is salty and undrinkable. From each of them you eat tender meat, and extract jewelry to wear. And you see the ships sailing through them, seeking His provisions, that you may be appreciative.

وَما يَستَوِى البَحرانِ هٰذا عَذبٌ فُراتٌ سائِغٌ شَرابُهُ وَهٰذا مِلحٌ أُجاجٌ وَمِن كُلٍّ تَأكُلونَ لَحمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَستَخرِجونَ حِليَةً تَلبَسونَها وَتَرَى الفُلكَ فيهِ مَواخِرَ لِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ

wa maa yastawil bahraani haaza ‘azbun furaatun saaa’ighun sharaabuhoo wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa min kullin ta’kuloona lahman tariyyanw wa tastakhrijoona hilyatan talbasoonahaa wa taral fulka feehi mawaakhira litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la’allakum tashkuroon

*35:12-13 When we send our astronauts into space, we provide them with their minimum needs of food, water, and oxygen. When we sided with Satan’s blasphemy billions of years ago (Appendix 7), God launched us into space aboard the spaceship Earth. But God has supplied our spaceship with awesome renewable systems that provide a great variety of fresh foods, water, oxygen, and even the reproduction of us astronauts.

He merges the night into the day, and merges the day into the night. He has committed the sun and the moon to run for a predetermined period of time. Such is God your Lord; to Him belongs all kingship. Any idols you set up beside Him do not possess as much as a seed’s shell.

يولِجُ الَّيلَ فِى النَّهارِ وَيولِجُ النَّهارَ فِى الَّيلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجرى لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ذٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُم لَهُ المُلكُ وَالَّذينَ تَدعونَ مِن دونِهِ ما يَملِكونَ مِن قِطميرٍ

yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil laili wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara kulluny yajree li ajalim musammaa; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum lahul mulk; wallazeena tad’oona min doonihee maa yamlikoona min qitmeer

(The Idols Utterly Powerless*)

If you call on them, they cannot hear you. Even if they hear you, they cannot respond to you. On the Day of Resurrection, they will disown you. None can inform you like the Most Cognizant.

إِن تَدعوهُم لا يَسمَعوا دُعاءَكُم وَلَو سَمِعوا مَا استَجابوا لَكُم وَيَومَ القِيٰمَةِ يَكفُرونَ بِشِركِكُم وَلا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثلُ خَبيرٍ

in tad’oohum laa yasma’oo du’aaa’akum wa law sami’oo mas tajaaboo lakum; wa Yawmal Qiyaamati Yakfuroona bishirkikum; wa laa yunabbi’uka mislu khabeer

*35:14 People idolize Jesus, Mary, Muhammad, Ali, and/or the saints; such idols are unaware and utterly powerless. Even when they were alive on this earth, they were powerless.

O people, you are the ones who need God, while God is in no need of anyone, the Most Praiseworthy.

يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ أَنتُمُ الفُقَراءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الغَنِىُّ الحَميدُ

yaaa ayyunhan naasu antumul fuqaraaa’u ilallaahi wallaahu Huwal Ghaniyyul Hameed

If He wills, He can get rid of you and substitute a new creation.

إِن يَشَأ يُذهِبكُم وَيَأتِ بِخَلقٍ جَديدٍ

iny yasha’ yuzhibkum wa ya’ti bikhalqin jadeed

This is not too difficult for God.

وَما ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزيزٍ

wa maa zaalika ‘alal laahi bi’azeez

No soul can carry the sins of another soul. If a soul that is loaded with sins implores another to bear part of its load, no other soul can carry any part of it, even if they were related. The only people to heed your warnings are those who reverence their Lord, even when alone in their privacy, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat). Whoever purifies his soul, does so for his own good. To God is the final destiny.

وَلا تَزِرُ وازِرَةٌ وِزرَ أُخرىٰ وَإِن تَدعُ مُثقَلَةٌ إِلىٰ حِملِها لا يُحمَل مِنهُ شَىءٌ وَلَو كانَ ذا قُربىٰ إِنَّما تُنذِرُ الَّذينَ يَخشَونَ رَبَّهُم بِالغَيبِ وَأَقامُوا الصَّلوٰةَ وَمَن تَزَكّىٰ فَإِنَّما يَتَزَكّىٰ لِنَفسِهِ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ المَصيرُ

wa laa taziru waaziratun wizra ukhraa; wa in tad’u musqalatun ilaa himlihaa laa yuhmal minhu shai’unw wa law kaana zaa qurbaa; innamaa tunzirul lazeena yakhshawna Rabbahum bilghaibi wa aqaamus Salaah; wa man tazakkaa fa innamaa yatazakkaa linafsih; wa ilal laahil maseer

The blind and the seer are not equal.

وَما يَستَوِى الأَعمىٰ وَالبَصيرُ

wa maa yastawil a’maa wal baseer

Nor are the darkness and the light.

وَلَا الظُّلُمٰتُ وَلَا النّورُ

wa laz zulumaatu wa lan noor
