There is nothing that we do not own infinite amounts thereof. But we send it down in precise measure.
وَإِن مِن شَىءٍ إِلّا عِندَنا خَزائِنُهُ وَما نُنَزِّلُهُ إِلّا بِقَدَرٍ مَعلومٍ
wa im min shai’in illaa ‘indanaa khazaaa ‘inuhoo wa maa nunazziluhooo illaa biqadarim ma’loom
And we send the winds as pollinators, and cause water to come down from the sky for you to drink. Otherwise, you could not keep it palatable.
وَأَرسَلنَا الرِّيٰحَ لَوٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَسقَينٰكُموهُ وَما أَنتُم لَهُ بِخٰزِنينَ
wa arsalnar riyaaha la waaqiha fa anzalnaa minas samaaa’i maaa’an fa asqai naakumoohu wa maaa antum lahoo bikhaazineen
It is we who control life and death, and we are the ultimate inheritors.
وَإِنّا لَنَحنُ نُحى ۦ وَنُميتُ وَنَحنُ الوٰرِثونَ
wa innnaa la nahnu nuhyee wa numeetu wa nahnul waarisoon
And we fully know those among you who advance, and we fully know those who regress.
وَلَقَد عَلِمنَا المُستَقدِمينَ مِنكُم وَلَقَد عَلِمنَا المُستَـٔخِرينَ
wa la qad ‘alimnal mustaqdimeena minkum wa laqad ‘alimnal mustaakhireen
Your Lord will surely summon them. He is Most Wise, Omniscient.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحشُرُهُم إِنَّهُ حَكيمٌ عَليمٌ
wa inna Rabbaka Huwa yahshuruhum; innahoo Hakeemun ‘Aleem
(The Human Race)
We created the human being from aged mud, like the potter’s clay.
وَلَقَد خَلَقنَا الإِنسٰنَ مِن صَلصٰلٍ مِن حَمَإٍ مَسنونٍ
wa laqad khalaqnal insaana min salsaalim min hama im masnoon
As for the jinns, we created them, before that, from blazing fire.
وَالجانَّ خَلَقنٰهُ مِن قَبلُ مِن نارِ السَّمومِ
waljaaanna khalaqnaahu min qablu min naaris samoom
Your Lord said to the angels, “I am creating a human being from aged mud, like the potter’s clay.
وَإِذ قالَ رَبُّكَ لِلمَلٰئِكَةِ إِنّى خٰلِقٌ بَشَرًا مِن صَلصٰلٍ مِن حَمَإٍ مَسنونٍ
wa iz qaala Rabbuka lilmalaaa’ ikati innee khaaliqum basharam min salsaalim min hama im masnoon
“Once I perfect him, and blow into him from My spirit, you shall fall prostrate before him.”
فَإِذا سَوَّيتُهُ وَنَفَختُ فيهِ مِن روحى فَقَعوا لَهُ سٰجِدينَ
fa izaa sawwaituhoo wa nafakhtu feehi mir roohee faqa’oo lahoo saajideen
The angels fell prostrate; all of them,
فَسَجَدَ المَلٰئِكَةُ كُلُّهُم أَجمَعونَ
fasajadal malaaa’ikatu kulluhum ajma’oon
